Almost 70% Employees Who Use ChatGPT At Work Are Hiding It From Their Bosses
ChatGPT and related AI technologies are being pitched as the future of work. While many industries are already adopting ChatGPT’s generative skills to make their jobs faster and more efficient, others are not that welcoming. Perhaps that explains why nearly 70% of people using ChatGPT at work haven’t told their bosses about it, according to a survey.

Does your boss know?
According to professional networking app Fishbowl’s survey, 43% of working professionals have used AI tools like OpenAI’s ChatGPT to help with them tasks at work. Out of these, 68% hadn’t told their bosses that they were using such AI tools to accomplish those tasks.
The survey, conducted between January 26 and 30, included responses from over 11,793 workers on the Fishbowl app from major tech companies like Amazon, Google, IBM, Meta, Twitter, and JPMorgan.

It accounted for responses from more than 11,700 workers from these companies.
It’s noteworthy to mention that ChatGPT is not flawless, its content still needs to be assessed by a human being for factual errors and outdated information. Even then, it can majorly help with boring tasks like writing emails, analysing data, but still runs the risk of plagiarism in some instances.

ChatGPT isn’t the only tool that is making waves around the world. An advanced version of ChatGPT has been incorporated into Microsoft’s Bing search engine, shocking the entire tech community – ‘cos who would’ve thought that Bing would ever make a comeback? Google’s Bard is also rolling out in the US and UK to a few lucky users who were granted access after joining the waitlist.
