Alice Springs Mayor Matt Paterson says the alcohol restrictions reintroduced in Alice Springs only “focuses on alcohol” and doesn’t “focus on kids getting off the street”.
Alice Springs’ alcohol restrictions doesn’t focus on ‘kids getting off the street’
“We are talking about two different things; we are talking about alcohol being one problem and crime being another,” Mr Paterson told Sky News Australia.
“They are not connected to make it one problem.
“This announcement only really focuses on alcohol; it doesn’t focus on getting the kids off the street; that’s the piece that’s really been missing.”
