New Coalville pre-loved and vintage clothing store to open this weekend

A new pre-loved and vintage clothing store in Coalville will open this weekend. Balling will take the place of a former florist shop which closed down last year.

The clothing brand, which had a unit in Coalville’s Belvoir Shopping Centre, is making the move to nearby Belvoir Road ahead of its grand reopening this Saturday (March 2). Balling takes the place of the former Flower Garden which announced its shock closure last year.

The much-loved florist had been in the town since 2017, but its owners admitted they had been attempting to sell it on for more than a year before they shut up shop for the final time in August 2023. Now, their former unit has been transformed, switching out flowers for fashion.

Balling describes itself as people’s “one stop shop” for pre-loved and vintage fashion and says it will have a range of items on its racks including low-priced workwear from Carhartt and Dickies as well as items from designer brands such as Nike and Stone Island.

Balling claims to stock pieces that can’t be found anywhere else – at prices not seen by other vintage clothing stores – and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Fashionistas are warned that items will fly off the shelves fast.

The new store opens this Saturday, with Balling offering a further 10 per cent of all items in store. A spokesperson said: “This event is going to be huge so don’t miss out! All items will be sold on a first come first serve basis on the day, we are looking forward to seeing you there.”

Balling will be open from 9am to 5pm on Mondays to Saturdays and 10am to 4pm on Sunday. More information can be found on the Balling_UK social media channels.
