DigiYatra is getting a new app and you need to delete the old app now.
DigiYatra app has got a new version that can be downloaded from Google Play and Apple App Store. The DigiYatra Foundation takes care of the DigiYatra app and it has informed people to delete the older version and install the new one to get the latest features available for flyers in India.
The entity claims that people have been facing issues using the old DigiYatra app which has caused inconvenience for many but now they can benefit from the new DigiYatra app and they are doing everything to make the switch from the old to the new DigiYatra seamless. The body running the DigiYatra app has given the steps needed to start using the new version of the app.
– Uninstall the old DigiYatra app
– Download and install the new DigiYatra app
– Re-enter your mobile number, Aadhaar number and create the account in the app to access quick check-in at Airports.
– Verify your Aadhaar details
– Upload your selfie for face authentication
– Proceed to confirm the face ID
– Starting using the details saved on the device at various airports.
“This upgrade is part of our ongoing effort to improve our services, as our commitment to enhancing the travel experience among users remains undeterred,” DigiYatra mentioned in its post on X where you can also get a detailed video on how to install the new DigiYatra app and start using it on your Android or iOS device.
Having said that, some people have been worried about the legitimacy of the DigiYatra app, especially as many duplicate fraud apps might pop up on the App Stores for users. The DigiYatra Foundation assures that both the apps are part of its setup and people facing issues during the upgrade are being addressed by the organisation.
