AIRASIA Philippines is giving away 100 free tickets to returning overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) this December, airline officials said.
AirAsia Philippines spokesman Steve Dailisan said the early Christmas gift covers the Manila to Singapore and Singapore to Manila flights on Dec. 4, 2021, via flights Z2 825 and Z2 826, respectively.
AirAsia, which is also celebrating its 20th anniversary, said it aims to bring home OFWs from Singapore in time for the month-long Christmas and New Year celebrations.
Dailisan said giving free tickets is their way to show their appreciation to OFWs for their heroism and sacrifices.
“We know for a fact that family is the main reason our OFWs chose to work abroad and be away for a long period of time,” he said.
“Whatever they save from their supposed airfare can be used to buy gifts for their loved ones back home,” he added.
For those traveling to Singapore, guests will also be required to undergo a 10-day quarantine in a hotel or a place of residence upon arrival in Singapore and must take a reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction test on their last day of quarantine.
