Air fryer recipe for 'tender' chicken and crispy potatoes takes under 30 minutes to cook

Air fryers are a famously cheap cooking method but many recipes are hard to make exclusively in the appliance.
Some call for a little bit of frying or oven baking on the side, which can make the whole process a lot longer – however tasty the meal is.
One air fryer expert-turned-food blogger has bucked the trend with her foolproof dinner formula.
Sharing it on her blog Air Fryer Eats, founder Cindy wrote: “This easy air fryer dinner will be your go-to recipe when you need a quick air fryer meal without any fuss! Dinner will be ready in less than 30 minutes.
“Tender Air Fryer chicken and crispy potatoes are simply seasoned and air fried together so that they finish simultaneously, perfectly cooked and ready to eat.”

Ingredients
- Three potatoes cut into strips
- 225g chicken breast, diced
- Half a teaspoon of salt
- Half a teaspoon dried herbs – sage, thyme, or oregano
- Half a teaspoon paprika
- Half a teaspoon granulated onion
- Half a teaspoon granulated garlic
- Half a teaspoon ground coriander
- Four tablespoons of olive oil
Method
Wash, peel and chop the potatoes into chip-like strips, them place them into a large mixing bowl.
Add half of the herbs, spices and salt, as well as two tablespoons of olive oil. Mix well to coat each and every potato with the seasoning.
Transfer the flavoured potatoes to the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 10 minutes at 200C. It’s okay if some overlap, as long as the basket isn’t overloaded, claimed Cindy.
While the potatoes cook, transfer the diced chicken to a bowl, add salt, the remaining seasonings, and remaining olive oil. Mix it all together then set aside.
Move the cooked potatoes to one side of the air fryer basket so that they occupy only half of the grate.
Next, put the chicken on the other half of the basket and air fryer both together for another 12 minutes at 200C.
After 12 minutes, if the chicken and potatoes are not browned enough, turn them over and cook for a further three minutes at the same temperature.
Cindy said: “Check to be sure that the chicken is fully cooked, to an internal temperature of 74C, and serve immediately with dipping sauces and side dishes if desired.”
