Millionaire Premier League ace who 'left his childhood sweetheart when she was pregnant is paying just £1,280-a-month maintenance'

A millionaire Premier League footballer has been accused of leaving his childhood sweetheart when she was pregnant and paying her only £1,200 per month in maintenance.

The unnamed star, who played for his country at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, is said to have initially denied being the father of his child before starting to hand over cash after a DNA test proved the baby was his.

While his ex-partner was struggling for money, he was pictured on glamorous holidays partying with other women, according to reports.

The pair began dating as teenagers but she is now believed to have applied for a non-molestation order saying he must ‘not use or threaten violence against her’.

A court has ordered the player to make £1,280 monthly payments to support his ex-partner and her child, but this has been described as a ‘paltry sum’.

The Mirror quoted a friend of woman as saying: ‘It’s been terrible for her – at first he denied the baby was his and then he ditched her while she was pregnant.

‘He tried to get her to have an abortion and then, when she wouldn’t, he left her. She was skint for months.

‘At the same time he was seeing at least one other woman. He only started paying for his child when a DNA test proved he was the dad – by then the baby was eight months old.’

The mother sought help from her local MP, who is said to have written to the Department for Work and Pensions.

The politician accused the footballer of having ‘initially denied paternity’, ‘delayed DNA testing’, provided ‘confusing name information’ to the testers and had not been ‘co-operative in supplying his true income figure’.

A court ordered the monthly payments, but the friend added: ‘It’s a paltry sum , isn’t it? He earns that in a day. It doesn’t even cover childcare.

‘She now relies on friends and family to help her out so she can return to her job – all while he’s living it up.’

The claims come days after it was revealed a love rat Premier League star’s secret trysts with his glamorous model lover were exposed to his wife by his Ring doorbell.

The footballer – who also plays for his country – was ditched by his wife after she confirmed his cheating on a smart camera at their multi-million pound home.

The secret girlfriend had messaged the player’s wife when he refused to leave his marriage for her following their eight-month affair.

When his wife demanded proof after he denied cheating, the older mistress – who is nearly 10 years his senior – told her to check their smart camera footage.

A source told the Mirror:  ‘The star spotted this girl on social media and took a shine – he started messaging her, inviting her out, the usual stuff. But it developed into an affair which lasted eight months.

‘Eventually they had a blazing row because he made a load of promises he couldn’t keep. She contacted his wife who asked her for proof of their relationship because he immediately denied it.

‘The mistress went back with some direct messages, but the real killer blow was when she told his wife to check out the Ring doorbell footage. That’s when it’s all exploded.’
