Actress Shwetha Menon speaks out against a domestic airline’s poor service
A popular domestic airlines have come under fire on social media by actress Shwetha Menon, who expressed her dissatisfaction with the carrier’s services. Menon recounted a “frustrating experience” she had with Indigo airlines when she was supposed to board a 12 pm flight from Mumbai to Kochi.
The actress claimed that she was notified of the flight’s rescheduling to 1.30 pm, but upon her arrival at the airport at the revised time, she was dismayed to find out that the flight had already departed. According to her, the help desk personnel were discourteous and unaccommodating towards her and the other passengers who wanted to board the first available flight.
Here’s her statement:
My flight (6E-6701) from Mumbai to Kochi was originally scheduled for 12 pm, but the airline sent an SMS informing me of a rescheduled departure time of 1.30 pm. However, upon arriving at the airport, I was surprised to learn that the flight had actually departed at its original time. I wasn’t the only one affected by this situation, as approximately 22 other passengers were in the same predicament as me.
To compound our already difficult circumstances, Indigo Airlines had been making bothersome midnight calls the previous day. Upon returning to the airport, a particular helpdesk staff member handled the situation poorly. Despite the 5 pm flight being available, she refused to provide any assistance and instead insisted on placing us on the 9 pm flight. Moreover, she spoke rudely and refused to listen to our concerns.
She not only insulted us but also dared us to complain wherever we pleased. That was the moment I resolved to go live on social media. Eventually, amidst much commotion, they managed to arrange for us to board the supposedly fully booked 5 pm Indigo flight 6E-6703. Finally, we reached Kochi airport, where Aswathy and Vishnu from IndiGo6E’s Kochi office personally apologized to us. That’s my account, and I trust that Indigo Airlines will take appropriate measures to prevent such occurrences in the future (sic),” she expressed.
On the work front, Shwetha Menon will be next seen in Anil Kumbazha’s Pallimani, Ajayan’s Badal and Drishti Prasad’s Mathangi.
