Today Extra’s David Campbell has paid tribute to his Les Miserables castmates Glen Hogstrom after he died this week.
Hogstrom passed away on Thursday night, according to a Friday Instagram post by his partner, Chloe.
‘We have lost a member of our barricade,’ began Today Extra host Campbell’s tribute, which was accompanied by a photo of the cast from the 1997 production.
‘Vale Glen Hogstrom. It was an honour treading the boards with you,’ added the singer and TV presenter.
Home and Away actress Georgia Parker added her own tribute to the post by Glen’s partner.
‘Chloe, I’m so sorry darling,’ wrote the All Saints star. ‘Much love to you, your family and loved ones at this time’.
Chloe’s tribute read, ‘And just like that, he’s gone… Glen (Hoggi/y/ie) Hogstrom left the Earthly stage so wonderfully peacefully last night.’
‘His last couple of days were spent in a delirium that every thespian hopes will be their final exit…he believed he was preparing for a new show…his joy was obvious…he was back doing what he loved most, with those he adored.’
‘He knew he was surrounded by the love of his family and friends, despite the deep challenges that currently surround caring for those in need.’
She concluded, ‘Chookas, gorgeous man, for your new show in the sky….what a show it will be.’
Hogstrom was a West Australian Academy of Performing Arts graduate of the class of 1989.
As an actor, he had a string of musical credits to his name, including Wicked, Beauty & the Beast and Cats.
His television credits included Rafferty’s Rules and Chances as well as an ABC documentary and various commercials.
