‘I’m 37, but I’ve been living this dream for 17 consecutive years’ – Toni Bou
With a sporting curriculum full of successes, Toni Bou feels like a fish in water. At the age of 37, the rider has already won 34 world titles, a total of 221 victories and 291 podium finishes in Trial GP and X-Trial races.
‘I’m 37, but I’ve been living this dream for 17 consecutive years, winning a double title with Repsol Honda. I’m enjoying it and I still have a lot to burn’ said the experienced rider, who was named one of the best sportsmen in 2023 at the 76th edition of the gala organised by the newspaper Mundo Deportivo.
With his contract renewed with Honda for another four years, Bou will try to win six more championships during this period in order to reach 40 titles. If he keeps up his current pace, he will fulfil this goal in 2026, with one more season left on his contract, which expires in 2027.
