Aaron Rodgers offers guest house to Jets rookie
Aaron Rodgers wants to get very close to one of his new teammates.
Third-round rookie wide receiver Malachi Corley told reporters at Jets rookie minicamp Friday that Rodgers offered to let Corley stay at the quarterback’s guest house this year. Corley added that he wants to take Rodgers up on it, according to multiple reports.
The Jets traded up to draft Corley, the self-proclaimed “YAC King” with the No. 65 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. This was the team’s second pick of the draft after New York traded back one spot to take offensive tackle Olu Fashanu. Rodgers appeared to endorse both players, calling the Fashanu selection “a great pick by [general manager] Joe [Douglas]” and tweeting the “eyes” emoji after the team drafted Corley.
New York added three more offensive players to the mix in quarterback Jordan Travis and running backs Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis.

If he bunks up with Rodgers, Corley will get almost unlimited access to one of the best quarterbacks in recent NFL history. Corley added that he’s been texting Rodgers a lot since the draft about football, life and mental health, per SNY’s Connor Hughes. This would be quite the departure from the stigma that Rodgers dislikes rookie pass-catchers, something that became more prevalent during his final season with the Packers.
This is also good news for a Jets team that has Super Bowl aspirations with their 40-year-old quarterback. Corley should be an important player for Rodgers and a good fit with this Jets offense. While Garrett Wilson and Mike Williams will command the outside, Corley can play in the middle of the and wrack up yards after the catch. He caught 253 passes for 2,968 yards and 29 touchdowns in 40 games for Western Kentucky and led all college receivers in yards after catch (YAC) since 2022 with 1,658.
Time will tell how being roommates with Rodgers is, though.
