Aamir Khan showers praise on Sparsh Shrivastava’s performance in ‘Laapataa Ladies’
Kiran Rao’s directorial venture ‘Laapataa Ladies’ became one of the well-acclaimed films of this year. The movie had its OTT premiere on April 26th, following the theatrical release on March 1st.
Aamir Khan turned a producer for this film. In a recent interview, he mentioned that one particular actor surprised him with his acting skills.
While talking to Neelesh Misra on an OTT platform, Aamir showered praises on all the actors in ‘Laapataa Ladies’. But actor Sparsh Shrivastava surprised Aamir the most. He felt that all the actors, including the junior-most ones, were great at acting when he saw the first cut of the film from Kiran.
He further added that Nitanshi, Pratibha, and Ravi were really great in the movie. But Sparsh’s character was truly amazing. He mentioned the reason for getting shocked watching Sparsh’s performance. When he read the script, all characters were well-defined, and he could visualize them playing on screen. But Sparsh’s character wasn’t written so clearly. He had nothing to do but panic and run around. Aamir was bowled over watching him perform it. All hearts go out to him.109534289
At the same time, Sparsh recollected a humorous event that happened with Aamir Khan when he texted the young actor after watching his crime drama series ‘Jamtara – Sabka Number Ayega’. Aamir Khan messaged Sparsh that he really liked his work and wanted to speak with him. Sparsh wondered why Aamir Khan would message him because he suspected it as a hoax. His series was scam-based, so he thought that someone was defrauding him. Sparsh asked Aamir to send him a voice note to make it believable. But Aamir said that he would video call him shortly. Sparsh covered his camera when Aamir video called him, thinking that it was a prank. But he saw Aamir Khan sitting in a cream t-shirt and his skin was glowing.
On the work front, Aamir is gearing up for his next project, ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, where he will reportedly share the screen with Genelia Deshmukh. Directed by RS Prasanna, it will be in theaters for Christmas 2024. The actor will also produce Rajkumar Santoshi’s ‘Lahore 1947’, starring Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, Karan Deol, Ali Fazal, and Shabana Azmi.
