A taste of early, summer-like weather in B.C.
Over the next 48 hours, parts of Canada could be for the first time hitting 30°C. The upper level pattern will show a Ridge building in for US into BC, and that means that temperatures will be well above seasonal, perhaps 10/12/15 degrees above the norm. Over coastal areas temperatures will be well into the 20s for us and as we head into the interior we could be hitting that 30° mark. One particular area in question, Litton, for us on Friday and Saturday sunshine with highs expected to get up to 30°C. But it’s not just Litton. Other areas around the interior could be looking at those temperatures into the high 20s and around that 30° mark. You’ll see we’re warm on Friday, but as we head into Saturday couple of spots will be even warmer. Kamloops, Vernon and Osos also expected to hit that 30° mark, but watch coastal areas across parts of the Lower Mainland also very much on the warm side.
