There were 9,351 new Covid-19 cases and 56 more fatalities recorded during the previous 24 hours, the Public Health Ministry announced on Sunday morning.
The number of new cases dropped from the 9,742 announced on Saturday, when the country recorded 74 more deaths.
On Saturday, 10,098 Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovering from the coronavirus.
Since April 1, when the third wave of Covid-19 began, Thailand has treated 1,821,619 Covid-19 patients, 1,703,301 of whom have recovered to date.
Since the pandemic started early last year, there have been 1,850,482 Covid-19 cases, with 1,730,727 complete recoveries so far.
The death toll stood at 18,661 during the third wave and 18,755 since the beginning of the pandemic.Internet Explorer Channel Network
