Liverpool home kit 2024/25 release date, prices and pre orders

The new 2024/25 Liverpool kit will be the fifth home shirt released by Nike in what has been a lucrative partnership for both. Wearing Nike shirts, Liverpool have won Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and, most recently, Carabao Cup titles wearing the famous tick logo.

Liverpool is one of Nike’s Elite teams and as such the club does not use Nike’s templates. Instead Liverpool will get a completely unique shirt designed specifically for the club. It also means the shirts will be marketed internationally and fans will be able to buy premium quality ‘authentic’ shirts as worn by the players.

Last year Nike launched the Liverpool home shirt in the first week of May and the previous year Nike also chose the same week to reveal the new kit. While rival Adidas often launches new kits for its Elite teams in June, Nike usually goes earlier and fans can expect the first week of May to be a likely date for the new 2024/25 home shirt.

The kit will be worn in a selection of Liverpool’s pre-season friendlies. We will probably see the new shirt when the players travel to the USA to play Manchester United, Arsenal and Real Betis.

Prices for the new Liverpool kit have not yet been announced by Nike. The prices will be revealed early in May when the kit is officially announced by the club. However, last year’s prices were £85 for an adult home shirt and £110 for the more ‘authentic’ premium option. Children’s shirts cost around £65 this year and we can expect similar pricing when the new home shirt arrives.

Nike’s recent launches match this pattern. The new England shirt for Euro 2024 is priced at £85 for adults with an authentic player shirt priced at £110. The controversial kit, which will be worn by the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold in the summer tournament, is one of the most expensive England shirts of all time.

When Liverpool reveals its kit in May it usually announces an in-store date a few weeks after the announcement. However, pre orders will open immediately on the Liverpool FC website and here on the Nike website.

The new 2024/25 kit is reported to feature thin yellow pinstripes in a nod to the title-winning 2019/20 kit, as well as the shirt the club wore in the 1984 European Cup.

According to leaks, Nike has added a few extra design touches to the 2024/25 home shirt including a pattern across the entire shirt spelling out YNWA, the initials of the club’s famous You’ll Never Walk Alone anthem. The shirt is also rumoured to feature the Nike tick logo, club badge and the Eternal Flame on the back of the shirt.

Standard Chartered will remain as the main front of shirt sponsor and travel company Expedia will be the shirt sleeve sponsor. The other sleeve will feature the Premier League badge, which could be gold if the club wins the title this year.

The away kit for the new season will be black, according to leaks, while the third kit is an unusual design. It is white with a grey chequered pattern. It also has a thin collar based on the new Nike collar design also seen on some of the brand’s international sides including France. The most noticeable change is on the Nike logo itself, which will be spun 90 degrees to appear vertically on the shirt – the first time this has ever happened on a Liverpool shirt.
