DOHA: His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani witnessed the closing ceremony of the 2023 Asian Cup Qatar at Lusail Stadium on Saturday evening.
The closing was witnessed by His Highness Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Personal Representative of the Amir, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani, His Excellency Sheikh Jassim bin Khalifa Al Thani, and His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim, Speaker of the Shura Council, and a number of Their Excellencies sheikhs and ministers.
It was also witnessed by His Excellency President Paul Kagame, President of the friendly Republic of Rwanda, His Royal Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, Crown Prince of the sisterly Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, His Excellency Gianni Infantino, President of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), and His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Asian Football Confederation, and several senior officials from brotherly and friendly countries, heads of delegations, heads of Olympic committees and Arab and foreign federations in addition to heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the state, and a large audience.
