6,923 remaja Johor terima dos pertama vaksin Covid-19

Johor Bahru: Seramai 6,923 remaja sudah menerima suntikan dos pertama vaksin Covid-19 menerusi Program Imunisasi Covid-19 Kebangsaan (Pick Remaja) di negeri ini bermula semalam.

Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Kesihatan dan Alam Sekitar negeri R Vidyananthan berkata, sehingga kini, 304,695 remaja berusia 12 hingga 17 tahun sudah mendaftar menerusi aplikasi MySejahtera.

Kata beliau, dianggarkan terdapat kira-kira 359,900 remaja berusia 12 hingga 17 tahun di Johor.

“Pusat Pemberian Vaksin (PPV) awam dan integrasi di Johor yang dipilih bagi pelaksanaan pemberian vaksin untuk remaja meliputi Pusat Konvensyen Antarabangsa Persada (Persada), Johor Bahru; Dewan Raya Bandar Putra, Kulai; Dewan Serbaguna Jalan Genuang, Dewan Serbaguna Taman Yayasan dan Dewan Serbaguna Labis di Segamat.

“Ia turut membabitkan Dewan Jubli Intan Pontian, Dewan Serbaguna Benut dan Dewan Tunku Ibrahim, Pekan Nanas di Pontian selain Dewan Jubli Intan serta Dewan Serbaguna Endau, Mersing.

“Bagi daerah yang tiada senarai PPV, pelaksanaan program pemberian vaksin Covid-19 remaja akan dijalankan sepenuhnya di sekolah,” katanya pada kenyataan hari ini.

Beliau berkata, bagi remaja berusia 12 tahun hingga 15 tahun, pemberian vaksin akan diberi kepada mereka yang mempunyai komorbid melalui temujanji di hospital atau klinik kesihatan di tempat mereka mendapatkan rawatan.

Kata beliau, bagi remaja berusia 16 dan 17 tahun, pemberian vaksin akan diberi tanpa mengira status kesihatan di dewan sekolah atau PPV yang akan dimaklumkan pihak sekolah kepada ibu bapa atau penjaga.

“Bagi remaja berusia 16 dan 17 tahun yang keciciran sekolah, mereka boleh mendapatkan vaksin secara jumpa terus di PPV yang ditentukan di daerah masing-masing.

“Ibu atau bapa atau penjaga perlu menandatangani borang persetujuan suntikan vaksin Covid-19 bagi semua remaja yang berusia kurang daripada 18 tahun ini,” katanya.
