EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: David Bowie's daughter Lexi Jones opens up on the personal turmoil and anguish she went through after her father's death

David Bowie’s death eight years ago this month, at the age of 69, left the pop world devastated.

Now, the singer’s only daughter, Alexandria, known as Lexi Jones, has revealed her personal turmoil. In an extraordinary online article Lexi, 23, whose mother is Bowie’s widow, the supermodel Iman, 68, describes the anguish she felt after losing her father.

‘I confused living life with surviving life’s days by filling my body’s bottomless void, drowning myself in toxins and poison,’ she recalls.

‘I involved myself in things I never expected to be part of. Situating myself in situations that contributed to the already crumbling foundation of my family eventually led to lonely isolation… I’ve hurt the ones I loved most with hateful words to make them feel at least a little bit of the pain I went through every day.

‘It felt easier to label myself as a psychopath, rather than to have admitted to the lack of introspection in an effort to justify my harmful actions.

‘Growing to be such a violent and angry individual was unbelievably contradictory to the sweet and gentle little girl I used to be.’

Lexi grew up in New York with her father and Iman, his second wife.

Now an artist, Lexi has previously said: ‘I have struggled with mental health issues. Art has always been a coping mechanism to get out of dark places.’

She has a half-brother, the film director Duncan Jones, 52, whose mother is the singer’s first wife, Angie Bowie, 74.

Jones was named Zowie Bowie to rhyme with his father’s stage name, but he started using the name Duncan aged 18.

Lock, stock and chocs away! Director Guy Ritchie, who made his name with the hit gangster film Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels, is to hold the first air show at Compton Abbas Airfield in August.

The Golden Age Of Aviation event will welcome ‘aero legends’ through aerobatic displays, vintage aircraft as well as traders and a fun fair. Ritchie’s company, Ashcombe Estates, bought the airfield in north Dorset in 2022.

Perhaps he should invite Prince Harry, who accepted a Living Legends Of Aviation award in Hollywood at the weekend?

Why Abbey is three years younger than she thought

Abbey Clancy does not know how old she is.

The model says: ‘I went to book a mammogram because you’re supposed to get it when you’re 40, and the girl said, ‘You’re too young, because you’re only 37’. I was like, ‘What?’

Clancy felt the need to inform her husband, the former England footballer Peter Crouch, 42. ‘I said, ‘Pete, I’m actually only 37′.’

She became confused because she has lied about her age in the past. ‘I went through a phase of adding years, so I looked good for my age.’

Crouch won’t complain. Once asked what he would have been had he not become a footballer, he replied: ‘A virgin.’

Sienna Miller has spoken of the harsh ‘judgment’ she’s received for becoming an ‘older’ mother at the age of 42.

Now, her former stepmother Kelly Hoppen, 64, has a statement to make of her own. ‘I don’t feel like a grandma, but more of a glam-ma because I’ve always been glammy,’ the interior designer tells me at a red-carpet event in London.

Hoppen was previously married to the Hollywood actress’s father, American former banker and art dealer Edwin Miller. As part of Sienna’s close circle, she has met the baby girl, whose father is actor Oli Green, 27: ‘I’ve met her and she’s just gorgeous and melts my heart.’

A sticky moment for Spider-Man Senior

Spider-Man star Tom Holland’s father, the comedian Dominic Holland, found himself in a row at the weekend while performing as auctioneer at the TTIKR Global App Gala launch at London’s Rosewood Hotel.

At the auction in aid of paralysed daredevil Eddie Kidd, a painting of Fawlty Towers waiter Manuel reached a bid of £400 when a guest shouted, ‘£600’.

The bidder then failed to answer when Holland asked him to identify himself. ‘You can’t go shy now,’ he said. ‘Is that a bid, or do we have a t**t in the room? Embarrassing.’

Eventually a different guest intervened, buying the work for £600.

The artwork was created by Georgina Baillie, 38-year-old granddaughter of the late actor Andrew Sachs, who played Manuel. She tells me: ‘I’m relieved.’

Photographer to the stars Joseph Sinclair has been found dead at the age of 49.

He captured everyone from pop stars Dua Lipa and Nicole Scherzinger to Normal People actor Paul Mescal and, most recently, the young stars of royal drama The Crown.

‘Joseph sadly passed away last Friday,’ his agent, John Parkinson, confirms. ‘I spoke to him around 4pm on the phone, then later found out that he had died that evening. We are all very sad – he was a very talented man.’

Lisa’s beau is her walrus of love

Socialite Lisa Tchenguiz once declared she would never marry again — following a bitter, four-year divorce battle with businessman Vivian Imerman, in which she received a £15 million settlement.

Yet the film producer’s boyfriend Steve Varsano, 67, is determined to demonstrate his affection.

During her 59th birthday party at show restaurant Lio London at the weekend, the aviation tycoon serenaded Lisa on stage by singing Barry White’s classic Can’t Get Enough Of Your Love, Babe.

Impressed guests included ‘king of clubs’ Richard Caring, skincare ‘guru’ Amanda Cronin and Nicole Coste, the mother of Prince Albert of Monaco’s son, Alexandre Grimaldi.
