CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Induction Ceremony at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse on Oct. 30 represents one of the biggest events in Rock Hall history with major names like Foo Fighters, LL Cool, Taylor Swift, Paul McCartney and others set to appear. It’s the culmination of a week of Rock Hall-themed festivities.

When: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24
What: A full day of activities, including live music, fireworks, showcases for local businesses on the Rock Hall’s plaza and free admission to the museum for Ohio residents. (Outdoor activities are free to everyone). The Rock Hall will also play host to “The Festival Village,” an area on the plaza where visitors can purchase clothing and music from the Rock Hall’s store and local vendors. Keep Music Alive will host an Instrument Petting Zoo and Hungry for Music will be accepting used instruments for their donation collection. All donors will be entered into a raffle to win tickets to the Induction Ceremony.
When: 10 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 24
What: Also during Celebration Day, the Rock Hall will unveil its 2021 Inductee Exhibit, featuring artifacts from members of this year’s class. The list of items includes Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl’s 1968 Lucite Dan Armstrong Ampeg guitar, Randy Rhoads’ asymmetrical Flying V-shaped Jackson/Rhoads Concorde guitar, Tina Turner’s red “Private Dancer” dress, Carole King’s black Baldwin Acrosonic spinet piano and a 72-inch by 96-inch oil portrait loaned by Jay-Z. Again, admission to the Rock Hall on Oct. 24 is free to all Ohio residents. However, you still have to reserve your ticket time online.
“Stories From Tina Turner’s legendary ‘80s and ‘90s Cleveland shows”
When: 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27
Where: Music Box Supper Club (1148 Main Ave.)
What: FREE event featuring a panel of special guests and local music experts who witnessed Tina Turner’s comeback to solo superstardom firsthand during her trips to Northeast Ohio. The panel includes legendary rock and roll photographer Janet Macoska, Barry Gabel, senior marketing and sponsorship sales for Live Nation Cleveland, Michael Gallucci, managing editor for Ultimate Classic Rock, and Nwaka Onwusa, vice president and chief curator for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The event will be hosted by cleveland.com reporter Troy L. Smith and recorded as part of the CLE Rocks Podcast. The event is free. Reserve your table on the Music Box’s website.
Rock Hall Nights
When: 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28
Where: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum
What: 2021 Inductee-themed party featuring DJ, costume contest, Museum touring from 5 to 9 p.m., trivia, food, drinks, inductee jams in the museum’s interactive Garage and more. Tickets are $21.
The Go-Go’s interview and book signing
When: Noon Friday, Oct. 29
Where: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Union Home Mortgage Plaza
What: It’s the only event announced (so far) that features an actual 2021 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductee. Members of The Go-Go’s will be on-hand to celebrate the release of drummer Gina Schock’s new book “Made In Hollywood: All Access with The Go-Go’s” and participate in a Q&A. The event will conclude with the dedication of the 2021 Inductee signature panel at 3 p.m. The event is sold out, but the Rock Hall will stream it on the museum’s Facebook and YouTube channels.Internet Explorer Channel Network
