Spend or Splurge: Dunnes Stores' floral midi dress is a dupe for Rixo

The high street store debuted their spring 2024 collection this week and there are more than a few pieces we’ve set our sights on.

One piece in particular that caught our eye was Dunnes’ new mixed dress from the Astrid Collection. The range boasts relaxed, sophisticated styles that play with shapes, textures, and tones.

The mixed dress combines two contrasting patterns, a black-and-white polka dot design with the injection of a green floral print – perfect for the warmer spring days.

The deep v-neck top, which has elasticated cuffs at the bottom of its long sleeves, is a light chiffon material. It retails for just €35, what a bargain!

The Dunnes dress is a remarkably similar dupe for Rixo’s Melanie silk midi dress, which retails for a steep €440.

The higher-end midi also features clashing patterns with a deep v-neck long-sleeve top.

Rixo’s dress has a piece of fabric that elegantly frames the neckline, while the Dunnes dupe doesn’t. Meanwhile, the Rixo piece is comprised of 100 per cent silk with 100 per cent viscose detailing.

However, for that drastic price difference, they are differences we’re willing to live with!
