Praia da Falesia
The world’s best beach is just a short flight away from the UK and it’s ‘incredible’. As February draws to a close, many Brits are starting to think about their summer holidays, and for many, that means a trip to the beach.
But where can you find the world’s best beaches? According to a new ranking from TripAdvisor, based on traveller reviews, the top spot goes to a stunning location in Portugal.
Praia da Falesia, located in Portugal’s beautiful Algarve region, is easily accessible from Belfast with a direct flight.
A spokesperson for TripAdvisor said: “Praia da Falesia is known for its dramatic cliffs, golden sands and sparkling blue waters.” The spokesperson added: “Sunbathe on the huge shore, go swimming or body surfing in the waves, or stroll along the scenic footpath on top of the cliffs and check out the incredible views.”
One tourist wrote: “Love the coloured cliffs along this beach. Wide open seas with pristine sandy beach for about 6km.”
An Italian beach, Spiaggia dei Conigli, came second in the prestigious ranking. Rabbit Beach is one of the world’s most photographed shores and is located on the island of Lampedusa.
Spain’s La Concha beach took third place on the list. San Sebastian’s city beach is one of the country’s prettiest.
Hawaii’s Ka’anapali Beach came fourth in the ranking while Grace Bay Beach in Turks and Caicos rounded off the top five.
