The heat index in 25 areas in the country may hit the “danger” level on Friday, according to state weather bureau PAGASA.
In it’s 5 p.m. heat index forecast on Thursday, the following areas are predicted to have heat index levels from 42°C to 45°C:

- Puerto Princesa City, Palawan
- Roxas City, Capiz

- San Jose, Occidental Mindoro
- Guiuian, Eastern Samar

- NAIA, Pasay City, Manila
- Iba, Zambales
- CLSU Muñoz, Nueva Ecija
- Cubi Point., Subic Bay, Olongapo City
- Sangley Point, Cavite
- Infanta, Quezon
- Alabat, Quezon
- Aborlan, Palawan
- Cuyo, Palawan
- Legazpi, Albay
- Masbate City, Masbate
- CBSUA-Pili, Camarines Sur
- Mambusao, Capiz
- Iloilo City, Iloilo
- Dumangas, Iloilo
- Catarman, Northern Samar
- Catbalogan, Samar
- Tacloban City, Leyte
- Dipolog, Zamboanga del Norte
Baguio City and Benguet State University, La Trinidad in Benguet continue to have the lowest heat index with 27°C.
According to PAGASA, heat indexes ranging from 42°C to 51°C fall under the danger level.
Danger level of heat index poses the risk of heat exhaustion, heat cramps, and heat stroke for continuous exposure.
