201 people related to 14 positive cases in Thanh Hoa test negative

More than 200 people that came into contact with 14 positive novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Thanh Hoa province have gone on to test negative for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, according to the Center for Disease Control in Thanh Hoa province.

The 14 suspected COVID-19 cases who had been put into quarantine at a military camp in Thanh Hoa province have since been transferred to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Dong Anh district for health observation.

The centre added that the test results of an additional 171 citizens who had recently returned from epidemic-hit countries had come back negative for SARS-CoV-2 virus for the second time, with all of the Vietnamese nationals being put into isolation at a military camp in Thanh Hoa.

These citizens will be quarantined for a period of 14 days, with their samples to be taken for a third time before they can complete their quarantine period in line with regulations.
