The A46 at the junction with the B1434
Motorists have been advised of delays on the A46, which will be closed for roadworks. Lincolnshire County Council said the A46 Holton Road, Nettleton and Caistor Road, Holton Le Moor will be closed for three nights.
The works are due to be carried out between Wednesday, February 14 and Saturday, February 17, subject to suitable weather. Works will be carried out each night between 8pm and 6am with a road closure in place each night.
A spokesman said: “Recent extreme weather conditions forced a stop in some of the planned resurfacing works on the A46, but the temporary halt in action is now being rectified. The news means that overnight works on Holton Road, Nettleton and Caistor Road, Holton Le Moor will get underway on Wednesday 14 February and have a scheduled end date of Saturday 17 February, subject to suitable weather.”

A diversion route will be in place via the B1434 and B1205 and vice versa. Restrictions will be lifted each day between 6am and 8pm and the A46 will be fully reopened.
When the works were first announced, Cllr Richard Davies, executive member for highways at Lincolnshire County Council, said the resurfacing will extend the road’s life by a ‘considerable number of years,’ on top of making it nicer to drive on. He added: “Whilst we are keeping disruption to the absolute minimum with the works there may be some people who are still affected, and I would like to thank them in advance for their patience and understanding as we carry out the job at hand.”
