A new patch is coming to Fortnite. That naturally means the Fortnite servers are expected to be down for a short time. Here is everything you need to know about Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, which is coming in update v29.30.
Fortnite Patch v29.30: Downtime
Fortnite Update v29.30 starts at the same time as Fortnite’s server downtime, on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at 4:00 a.m. ET. The servers are typically offline for up to 2 hours and 30 minutes. After that, you can log into the game as usual.
Fortnite Patch v29.30: Patch Notes
With every patch, new things come to the Fortnite island. And even if there are no official patch notes yet, we already have some info for you from leaks about Fortnite update v29.30.
Fortnite Festival Season 3: Billie Eilish in Fortnite?
Rumors about the American singer are heating up! Leakers like Hypex suspect that she will be the star of the new Fortnite Festival Season 3. This is indicated by the leaked roadmap among some other leaks. Furthermore, the 22-year-old is set to release her next album in May.
With her, new stages, songs, and a skin both in the Festival Pass and the Item Shop are expected. Whether the leaks are true, we’ll find out on Tuesday.
Star Wars x Fortnite – New Mythical Weapon And Skins
There have been certain leaks already months ago. But now it’s coming closer: Chewbacca and his crossbow are set to join the Fortnite universe with a big Star Wars collaboration! Princess Leia Organa is also supposed to get a skin. And alongside the mythical crossbow, we of course expect the lightsabers to return.
According to some leaks, we are also getting a new Mandalorian vehicle in the Battle Royale mode. However, it won’t be there immediately. The Star Wars event is set to begin on May 3, one day before the international Star Wars Day.
X-Men Soon In Fortnite?
Next to the huge Star Wars collaboration, there is also a smaller one expected. The 1997 X-Men series is getting a remake. There are 4 characters rumored to get a skin in Fortnite soon. These are:
- Jubilee
- Cyclops
- Jean Grey
- Magneto
It’s still unclear when they will be released, but it won’t be a such large collaboration as the ones with Avatar or the Star Wars franchise.
Tactical AR Returns
Leaks about the Tactical AR have been circulating in the Fortnite community for some time now. At the last patch, some leakers already expected a possible comeback. But now with the upcoming, it seems the weapon is finally coming back. The Tactical AR was originally released with the official John Wick skin and has been the only AR to work with small ammunition.
New Car Skins In Fortnite
Firstly, it was speculated that the X-Men coop would bring new car decals to Fortnite, but this has now been denied by Epic. However, the “Samurai”, another car from Rocket League, will soon join the Fortnite garage. The car will appear in the Fortnite Item Shop. Those who already own it in Rocket League will get it automatically added to their locker as usual.
Jujutsu Kaisen – Coop And Skin-Cup
There’s also news about the second wave of Jujutsu Kaisen. Epic Games recently changed the date for the JJK tournament. This at least indicates that the work for the cooperation is still in progress.
Lego Fortnite – New Sets And Skins
The Lego mode is getting new farming-themed sets. What’s special here: this is exactly what the leaked roadmap stated! The new Lego sets will, as usual, be available for purchase in the Item Shop. Moreover, according to a leak from Hypex in the context of the Star Wars x Fortnite coop, we are expecting Lego variants of the leaked skins Leia Organa and Chewbacca as well as Lego lightsabers.
New Crew Pack In May
With the upcoming patch, the upcoming Crew skin will also be added to the game. This is still unknown, but is expected to be spotted by various Fortnite leakers by Tuesday, April 23.
As with every patch, there will be some bug fixes. If you’re interested, you can check these out on the official Fortnite Trello board.
