Who has won the most Frozen Fours? List of past winners of NCAA men’s hockey championship

At the 2023 Frozen Four, Quinnipiac earned its first-ever national championship when Jacob Quillan lifted the Bobcats to an overtime win over Minnesota.

That won’t be the case in 2024, as all four programs in this year’s Frozen Four know a thing or two about raising a national banner.

The teams in this year’s Frozen Four make up four of the seven most successful programs in NCAA history. It includes Michigan and Denver, two schools that tied at the top of the leaderboard for the most national champions won in the sport, as well as Boston College and Boston University, two staples in college hockey with numerous titles.

The Pioneers are the most recent champions out of the group after winning it all in 2022. The Eagles, who won the national championship in 2012, are next, followed by the Terriers, who claimed the 2009 title. The Wolverines are searching for their first national championship in over 25 years, with their last title coming in 1998.

No matter the result, another chapter will be added to the illustrious history of one of college hockey’s most prominent programs. It’s just a matter of who it will be.

Here is a look at the past champions of the NCAA Frozen Four and who has won the most titles in college hockey.
