There is still more than a month to go until the Premier League season starts – but the transfer window is already hotting up.
Manchester City have already confirmed the arrival of goal machine Erling Haaland, and could sanction the sales of both Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling. Liverpool have unveiled the signing of Darwin Nunez in a potential club-record deal, with club legend Sadio Mane leaving for Bayern Munich after six successful seasons at Anfield.
Arsenal have brought in highly-rated Porto prospect Fabio Vieira, and Antonio Conte continues to stamp his mark at Tottenham with three signings already through the door. Manchester United have even made a bid, although Barcelona reportedly rejected this initial approach for Frenkie de Jong.
In an era of exorbitant spending and high-profile flops, value for money is high on the agenda for ambitious top-flight clubs. Here is a look at the free agents from La Liga who could save Premier League sides millions this summer.
Sergio Asenjo
Sergio Asenjo is leaving Villarreal after almost eight years at the club
Asenjo is departing Villarreal after eight seasons with the club and almost 200 appearances for the club. The goalkeeper once competed with David de Gea for the number one spot at Atletico Madrid, and the 32-year-old could represent an affordable backup option.
Serge Aurier
Former Tottenham defender Serge Aurier has not been offered a contract extension at Villarreal
Tottenham fans who grew accustomed to watching Aurier's rash interpretation of defending would likely have been stunned to see the Ivory Coast international feature for Villarreal en route to the Champions League semi-final. However, Unai Emery's side have opted against activating a one-year contract extension, meaning the 29-year-old is again looking for a new club.
Gareth Bale

Arguably the most high-profile name on this list, Bale's turbulent time at Real Madrid has finally come to an end. Wales' participation in this winter's World Cup is the priority for the 32-year-old, with recent reports confirming the forward has held talks over a sentimental move to Championship side Cardiff City.
Ousmane Dembele

The saga over the France international's future continues to rumble on, but as it stands the winger is set to leave Barcelona as a free agent five years after arriving in a £135.5 million deal. Chelsea were said to be keen, but recent reports suggest they have cooled their interest due to the 25-year-old's demands.
Felipe
Atletico Madrid defender Felipe could represent a stop-gap signing for the Premier League
The veteran centre-back will leave Atletico Madrid this summer despite making 26 La Liga appearances for Diego Simeone's side last season. At the age of 33, Felipe would likely be viewed as a stop-gap signing or a potential mentor should any Premier League clubs consider a move.
Isco

The Spanish playmaker is another victim of the ruthless overhaul at Real Madrid, and the 30-year-old is available on a free following nine years with the Champions League winners. Isco made more than 350 appearances with the club, and a switch to Sevilla could be on the cards despite longstanding interest from the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham.
Joselu
Joselu has rebuilt his reputation following a difficult spell at Newcastle United
Joselu struggled for goals at both Newcastle United and Stoke City, but will likely be a man in demand this summer. The 32-year-old rebuilt his reputation at Alaves, and is attracting attention from a host of La Liga sides although reports suggest Espanyol could be leading the race.
Adnan Januzaj

The former Manchester United wonderkid is set to become a free agent after an underwhelming final season at Real Sociedad. Having made his senior breakthrough at Old Trafford under David Moyes, the 27-year-old could be offered a Premier League return at West Ham according to the latest reports.
Luis Suarez

The Barcelona and Liverpool legend was no longer a guaranteed starter in his final season at Atletico Madrid, but the 35-year-old still netted 11 times in La Liga. A reunion with Steven Gerrard and Phillipe Coutinho at Aston Villa has been suggested, but as it stands the veteran striker is still on the market.
Cristian Tello
Former Barcelona prospect Cristian Tello has been tipped to move to Turkey this summer
The former Barcelona prospect is set to leave Real Betis after five seasons where he made 172 appearances and registered 24 goals and 20 assists. Tello will celebrate his 31st birthday in August, and the winger has been liked with a move to Turkey with Beskitas and Trabzonspor both linked.
Sime Vrsaljko
Sime Vrsaljko has reportedly agreed a switch to Olympiakos
Atletico Madrid are not expected to offer the Croatian international a new contract following six seasons with the club. However, a switch to the Premier League for the 30-year-old looks unlikely with reports suggesting an agreement has already been reached with Greek giants Olympiakos.
