She later transitioned to Sun TV, where she hosted shows like Comedy Time and Ilamai Pudhumai. In May 2007, she decided to leave Sun TV to concentrate on family issues. After a year-long hiatus, she joined Star Vijay in 2008 and hosted Namma Veetu Kalyanam until 2014. In September 2015, Zee Tamil approached her to host the show Athirshta Lakshmi. She also took on the role of a judge on the comedy show Junior Super Star alongside K Bhagyaraj and Khushbu.

In 2020, Archana entered the Bigg Boss house as a wildcard contestant, facing criticism from audiences for her behaviour during her time on the show. Following her stint on Bigg Boss, she returned to Star Vijay and resumed hosting various reality shows and special episodes, including Kadhale Kadhale, Old is Gold Black and White, Parivattam, Namma veetu kalyanam Snehan, and Kanikka Special.
