LAS VEGAS, Jan. 11 (Yonhap) — South Korea’s SK Group is set to conclude its four-day CES 2024 exhibition Thursday, with its theme-park showroom, “Wonderland,” emerging as a popular attraction.

Over the first three days of the tech show in Las Vegas, around 60,000 visitors flocked to SK’s exhibition booth at the Las Vegas Convention Center, more than doubling the attendance from the previous year, according to SK Group.

The 1,850-square-meter “Wonderland” showroom was designed with a theme park concept to present SK Group’s vision of a low-carbon, technology-driven future.

Attendees had the opportunity to ride futuristic trains, experience flying carpets and interact with an AI fortuneteller, all depicting a world free from the impacts of the climate crisis.

It is in line with SK Group’s commitment to carbon reduction, which came into the company’s business spotlight last year. At CES 2023, SK Group announced plans to cut 200 million tons of carbon emissions by 2030, equivalent to 1 percent of the global carbon emissions reduction goal set by the International Energy Agency.

“At this year’s CES, we took a new approach to simplify carbon reduction and AI technologies that can be hard to understand,” an SK official said. “We will continue to work toward engaging more people in SK’s journey.”
