Congratulations to Yelm’s Madisyn Erickson for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Washington High School Athlete of the Week for Feb. 5-Feb.10!

It might be a good idea not to find yourself staring at this senior from the other side of a wrestling mat. Chances are she will find a way to dominate – and has this winter. She won a regional title at 120 pounds, then captured her second Mat Classic championship Saturday night to complete a 46-0 season.

Erickson received 43.2% of the vote, beating out Kentwood boys basketball standout Corey Tita, who finished second with 27.1%.

We are currently accepting WaFd Bank Player of the Week nominations. If you would like to nominate an athlete, please email [email protected] or message us on Twitter or Instagram at @sblivewa.
