Etihad Arena
The annual UFC pay-per-view event in Abu Dhabi has a date and number.
UFC 308 takes place Oct. 26 at Etihad Arena at Yas Island, the promotion announced Thursday ahead of the UFC 300 pre-fight news conference in Las Vegas. The event will be part of what the promotion is branding “Abu Dhabi Showdown Week.”
The event will be the second time in two months the promotion holds an event at that venue with a UFC Fight Night card previously announced for Aug. 3.
UFC 308 will mark the 20th event the promotion has held an event in Abu Dhabi. The location became a staple for the UFC during the COVID-19 pandemic, as the promotion could dodge state mandates.
No fights have been announced for the card at this time, though UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev was prominently featured in Thursday’s brief video package announcement.
