‘We’re not so far away; we are more or less the best rider!’ – Andrea Iannone
Andrea Iannone took one step more in his preparation to return to the race, with two testing days for the World Superbike Championship this week in Jerez. The Team GoEleven rider had the chance to getting more knowledge about the Ducati Panigale V4 R, the tyres and the team, also building his pace. His best lap placed him fifth in the standings.
The Maniac spoke about this test to the championship’s official website, considering that despite he needs to get more experience, he liked the job done:
– It wasn’t so bad. It’s our goal and focus to improve day by day. […]. I need more kilometres, need to have more experience with the bike, the team and the tyres, but I think we finished the first test of the year in a good way. We’re not so far away. I think I did my best lap with the SCX tyre, so we are more or less the best rider! We struggled a little bit with the SCQ. I tried one Q tyre on Thursday, but we weren’t ready, the bike changed a lot, and I didn’t have experience.
