BJP’s South Goa candidate declares assets worth over Rs 250 crore
Pallavi Dempo, BJP’s candidate from the South Goa Lok Sabha constituency, on Tuesday filed her nomination form for the upcoming elections. The BJP candidate, who is the wife of entrepreneur Srinivas Dempo, possesses assets worth more than 250 crore, as per her election affidavit.
Her affidavit revealed assets including approximately Rs 217.11 crore in bonds, around Rs 12.92 crore in savings, about Rs 2.54 crore worth of vehicles, approximately Rs 5.69 crore in gold, and other items valued at around Rs 9.75 crore.Â
Pallavi Dempo, the executive director of Dempo Industries, is pitted against Viriato Fernandes of the Congress.
Alongside Pallavi Dempo, Shripad Naik, BJP’s candidate from North Goa, also submitted his nomination papers for the Lok Sabha elections on Tuesday.Â
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant accompanied Naik and Dempo during the filing of their nominations.
The Lok Sabha polls in Goa will be held in a single phase on May 7.
