hugging jos buttler to consoling disheartened kkr players: shah rukh khan’s gestures win a million heart - watch

Shah Rukh Khan’s gestures have taken over social media

The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) were left heartbroken after losing a high-scoring affair to Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 2 wickets at Eden Gardens on Monday night. Sunil Narine’s maiden T20 hundred and a Rinku Singh cameo powered the hosts to 223 for 6. However, a resilient Jos Buttler snatched victory from KKR’s jaw with a blistering century as the Royals registered the highest successful run-chase of the Indian Premier League (IPL) history.

It was just another great game of T20 cricket where a better side crossed the finish line. While the Royals camp was joyous, the Knight Riders were left dejected over the defeat. Meanwhile, KKR co-owner Shah Rukh Khan went to his players and gave them a pat on their backs. The video of Khan cheering up his players was shared on social media which has been garnering massive traction.

The KKR co-owner also hugged the game-changer of the night, Jos Buttler and congratulated him on his fantastic knock. The RR opener scored 107 of 60 balls vs KKR, racking up his seventh IPL hundred now is just one century shy of Kohli’s record of 8 hundreds.

Buttler, who missed RR’s last game against Punjab Kings due to an injury, single-handedly pulled off IPL’s biggest chase while overwhelming Kolkata Knight Riders’ 223 for 6 in the last ball of the match, remaining unbeaten on 107 off 60 balls.

He struggled to walk towards the end but didn’t give up.

“Keep believing, that was the real key today. I was struggling a bit for rhythm. At times you feel frustrated or you are questioning yourself. I tell myself it’s okay, keep going, you’ll get your rhythm back and try to stay calm.

“There’s been plenty of times throughout the IPL, you’ve seen crazy things happen. Guys like Dhoni and Kohli, the way they stay till the end and keep believing and I tried to do the same,” Buttler said at the post-match presentation.
