On Tuesday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers are facing off against the Los Angeles Clippers (as the road team).

During the game, D’Angelo Russell made NBA history by moving ahead of Baron Davis (1,332) for 60th on the all-time three-pointers list.

Following Davis, the next players for him to pass will be Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (1,360) and Dan Majerle (1,360).

Russell came into the night with averages of 16.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 6.1 assists per contest while shooting 48.1% from the field and 41.2% from the three-point range in 40 games.

He has been on a hot streak and scored 20+ points in four out his previous five games.

The Lakers are the ninth seed in the Western Conference with a 22-22 record in their first 44 games.

They are 5-5 over their previous ten games and most recently beat the Portland Trail Blazers by a score of 134-110.

Russell was fantastic and put up 34 points, one rebound, eight assists and two blocks while shooting 14/21 from the field and 6/11 from the three-point range in 34 minutes of playing time.

Following the Clippers, the Lakers will host the Chicago Bulls on Thursday evening in Los Angeles.

Russell was the second pick in the 2015 NBA Draft out of Ohio State, and is in his ninth season in the league.

In addition to Los Angeles, he has also spent time with the Brooklyn Nets, Minnesota Timberwolves and Golden State Warriors.
