Gone appétit! Customers share the disappointing food fails that will quickly quell your hunger

There’s nothing worse than food turning out to be a disappointment, especially if it was your tasty treat at the end of the day. 

Disgruntled customers from around the world have taken to social media to share their dismay at their food fails and Bored Panda collated the most unappetising examples. 

They include one person with a sweet tooth, from the US, who was enjoying a KitKat only to discover there was no wafer inside. 

Elsewhere someone else only received one measly red M&M in a ‘fun sized’ packet. 

Another person had to do a bit of digging through a thick layer of icing in her dad’s birthday cake to find the sponge.

Feeling stoned! This avocado with very little flesh is not going to spread very far on a slice of toast

Someone else was fuming to open their frozen pizza only to find an entire slice without any cheese or pepperoni on it. 

Another called their cookies an ‘absolute rip off’ after the product looked nothing like the picture on the packaging.

Meanwhile, a Pop-Tart that was only partly covered in icing also caused disappointment at the breakfast table.

Not fair! A Pop-Tart was only partly covered in icing, leaving the bottom half plain

No juice here! A man was disappointed when he sliced into his orange to see it was 50 percent skin

Chip on your shoulder! Getting only five crisps inside the packet is definitely not good enough
