Αναστάτωση προκλήθηκε γύρω στις 8:40 το πρωί της Μεγάλης Τρίτης στο Μετρό στο Σύνταγμα εξαιτίας καπνού που έκανε την εμφάνισή του σε βαγόνι.

Ο συρμός εκκενώθηκε άμεσα, ενώ από τις έρευνες που ακολούθησαν, διαπιστώθηκε πως ο καπνός είχε προκύψει από το φρενάρισμα του μηχανοδηγού.

Οι επιβάτες επιβιβάστηκαν σε άλλο συρμό για να μεταβούν στους προορισμούς τους.
