Pictured: Heartless mother, 39, who left her son, seven, to fend for himself in an unheated flat for TWO years while she went to live with her girlfriend

Alexandra Oger, 39, was convicted of abandoning her son for two years

This is the first picture of the heartless mother who abandoned her seven-year-old son to live with her girlfriend, MailOnline can reveal.

Alexandra Oger, 39, was convicted of leaving her son for two years in a cold second floor flat while she moved in with lover Charlene Muller, who is not accused of wrongdoing, and her two children.

The boy was forced to fend for himself, eating tinned food and tomatoes stolen from a neighbour’s planters between 2020 and 2022.

Authorities were eventually alerted after the neighbour on the ground floor caught the boy taking the tomatoes and police were called just after the boy’s ninth birthday.

The tragic story in the village of Nersac near Angouleme in south west France – an area popular with British holiday makers – has left the country shocked.

Details emerged earlier this month when the mother-of-two appeared before a court in Angouleme charged with child abandonment.

Prosecutor Anne Medioni explained how the boy had been left in the flat unable to use the hot water and heating and wrapped three blankets around himself to stay warm.

Describing the case as ‘sad’ she said: ‘The child had no way to wash with hot water,’ adding there was a ‘scary side to the story’.

Oger claimed she had not abandoned her son and said she was a ‘good mother’ but mobile phone data showed she was spending the majority of her time three miles away at Sireuil.

Her lawyer Emilie Lagarde told the court Oger was ‘not a bad mother but needed care and the opportunity to explain her actions’.

Oger also insisted her neighbours were mistaken and that the mobile data was not conclusive as she ‘often forgot and mislaid her telephone’.

Ms Medioni had called for an 18 month jail term but judge Ancelin Nouaille agreed but it would be suspended for 12 months and ordered Oger to serve six months with an electronic tag.

Passing sentence, he said: ‘The evidence is overwhelming. You abandoned your son.’

Local police are still questioning the head teacher and staff at the boy’s school – less than ten minutes away to establish why no concerns were raised by staff.

Oger’s social media is bizarrely full of glowing posts and photographs of her abandoned son and his elder siblings.

Her biography reads: ‘My family, my happiness is everything that matters. I love you very much.’

Her oldest child – thought to be aged 17 – is also estranged from his mother and believed to be living with his father while his abandoned brother is with a foster family and wants nothing to do with Oger.

She is thought to have had a third child, a daughter who died several years ago. In a post paying tribute to her on what would have been her birthday she wrote: ‘I am sad forever for losing my Princess.’

Oger has also shared pictures of herself with Muller. The two are believed to have had a civil ceremony as a picture of wedding rings from a 2019 post feature on her social media.

In one post written in the summer of 2018, Oger said: ‘Every family has a history. Welcome to ours,’ to which Muller replied: ‘I love you, my love.’

While another of her posts reads: ‘The family is where life begins and where love never finishes.’

While her son was living on his own she posted pictures of the children she co-parented with Muller but nothing of her own two sons.

The pair are now co-parenting three other children, neighbours said, with one born through artificial insemination they claimed.

A family tree on partner Muller’s social media makes no mention of Oger’s two children although the other three are named.

A neighbour opposite the second floor flat where the boy lived said: ‘I’ve been here 18 years and she moved in around 2019, just before Covid.

‘She was here with two boys, one older and one younger and then all of a sudden, I stopped seeing the older boy and heard he had gone to live with his father.

‘I saw the little one but very infrequently, I don’t get out much and I sometimes saw the mum come round every now and then with a bag of shopping.

‘I had no idea the boy was there on his own. He always seemed so well looked after when I saw him and it’s incredible to think this was happening.

‘It was the neighbour on the ground floor who raised the alarm after they caught the boy stealing tomatoes from planters outside the flat.

‘I haven’t seen the mother now for a while, the first time anyone knew anything was when the police came asking and now I know she moved to a village 5km from here with her new partner, a woman.’

The headmistress at the primary school the boy attended told MailOnline: ‘He was always very polite and presentable and very good at school. He’s left here now and no longer a pupil.

‘There was nothing to indicate that anything was wrong otherwise we would have raised the alarm.

‘The mother would sometimes be outside school and come to parents evenings but there was nothing untoward.’

A neighbour across the road from the bungalow where the mother lives with her female partner and who would only give her name as Marie told MailOnline: ‘I’ve had nothing but problems from her and her lady friend.

‘They have three young kids but it’s not clear whether they are fostered or from a surrogate and they are so noisy.

‘You don’t have to ask me – ask anyone and when we say “please keep the noise down” all you get is abuse.

‘Some people are saying they can’t believe a mother would abandon her children but tell me this, why was nothing of hers found in the flat at Nersac and instead all her possessions were here in Sireuil, where the partner lives. That’s what the police told me.

‘I haven’t seen her for a week or so now and the rumour is that she is living out of town for a few weeks until all the fuss dies down.’

Oger could not be reached for comment while her lawyer told MailOnline: ‘I have no intention of making any statement.’
